Last week I attended the NQA quilt show in Columbus for a day. It was a bit crowded when I got there and I didn't get to look at the quilts as closely as I did last year. I also didn't get as many pictures, and I got a lot of pictures with people walking in to them because people just didn't have the space to be courteous. But here are a few of my faves!

Something different
Hey, anyone wonder what their name means? Here is mine:
What Kelley Means |
You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life. You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip. People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them. You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily. Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is. You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in. You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising. You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care. |
I am thinking the last point isn't really me. I'm married and have 2 kids a house and a job...how can you be more settled than that?
Things that are definitely true...I like learning new things; I hate rocking the boat, and I most certainly am occasionally flaky. Sorry about that, folks!

June goals & May update
Now that May is over it's time to decide what m goals for June will be. Um, err...well we are trying really hard to get the house ready for market. So here is my (craft/sewing/quilty) goal for the month:
- Finish one hand-pieced sunburst block
You may remember that I had a goal to finish a certain number of these (which the number escapes me at the moment...maybe 8?) by the end of the year. I have three done so far. Sorry, I still have no pics of the finished blocks.
And the May roundup:
- 10 minutes of quilting/sewing per day - not done :(
- Finish the baby quilt - done!
- Sew 10 pillowcases for the guild service project - done!
- Created a sewing basket and little book of projects for the Niece - done!
- Removed the binding from The Girl's quilt - done!
